Meet James, a celebrated professional makeup artist, renowned for his work on Netflix and BBC's Glow Up and as a guest judge on RTÉ’s Glow Up Ireland.

Born and raised in Ireland's rural Midlands,
James's love for art and photography evolved into a successful career in makeup. He's collaborated with big names like L’Oreal and MAC and has been the Creative Head of SFX & editorial Beauty at the Aliya Baig Academy in India. James has worked with celebrities including Eva Longoria , Yasmin Finney, Aisling Bea and is a familiar face at high-profile events during London & Paris Fashion Week.

From a young age, James was drawn to art and storytelling, inspired by Irish folklore, often transforming himself into various characters.

In 2024, James showcased his first London exhibition’ “Makeup X ART”. 25 of his best works were displayed, breaking traditional beauty boundaries to become a profound art form. A true journey of self-discovery, as an artist living with Tourette’s, and being part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

James ventured into film and photography , graduating from Dublin City University with a BSc in Multimedia. His love for documentaries sparked his interests in social media, seeking to reinvent himself, learn and adapting along the way.

James’ unique series, “Tourette’s Tuesdays” helps destigmatize and celebrate living with Tourette’s Syndrome as creative artist in today’s world.

Looking to the future, James aims to become a global brand, hosting makeup masterclasses around the world and continue to advocate for the Tourette’s community. His passion helps serve as an inspiration for the neurodivergent community, empowering others whilst embracing his own creative ‘superpower’.
